In a Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchain network, a miner is an individual or entity that uses specialized computing hardware (such as ASICs or GPUs) to solve complex cryptographic puzzles. The core role of a miner is to validate pending transactions, group them into a new block, and compete with other miners to be the first to solve the puzzle, thereby adding the new block to the blockchain.
